feat. bored monkeys

hi,

happy 90th anniversary to the lego.

i'm tempted to opine on the history of the lego, how a piece from today will still fit a piece from 1958, how simple blocks can make beautiful creations, or the billions trillions quadrillions of ways you can use just a few pieces. but i'm a bit tired, and i fear that my writing will be more ramble-y than usual.

so i'll just say, happy 90th anniversary. lets find something cool.

y'all, this is a fascinating article, even if you don't know anything about NFTs or crypto or Web3. it's the story of how two guys took over the internet for a brief moment, and they're still trying to capitalize on it.

oh, and there's also bountiful conspiracy theories. and a lot of monkeys. and jimmy fallon, for some reason.

worth the fifteen minutes it will take to read. and if you don't like it after the first two sections, feel free to quit the article. i'm a firm believer in that philosophy, and maybe i'll write a longform piece on it at some point. who knows.
